The Program

A school day built backwards from mastery.

Most schools start with a bell schedule and fit learning inside it. We start with what your child actually needs to master — in every subject — and build each day around exactly that.

The day, hour by hour

Structured like a real school day — because it is one. Attendance, certified teachers, and state standards, minus the wasted time.

8:00–8:30

Morning Launch

Live games, mindset training, and goal-setting with teachers and classmates. Every student starts the day seen.

8:30–11:00

Core Academics

Two focused hours across math, reading, language, science, and social studies — each at your child's own level. Teachers watch progress live and step in one-on-one the moment a student is stuck. Off-screen breaks are built into the block.

11:00–12:00

Off-Screen Break

A real lunch hour, away from the screen — ride a bike, shoot hoops, recharge.

12:00–2:00

Life-Skills Workshops

Two live, project-based sessions where students build real things with classmates — businesses, games, published writing, art, robotics.

2:00

Done.

Afternoons belong to your family — sports, hobbies, or more time on the projects they love. The only homework is whatever you don't finish during the day.

How personalized learning actually works

1

Week one: mastery check

We assess your child across all five core subjects — not to label them, but to find the exact spot where learning should start in each one.

2

A personal plan per subject

Clear milestones, a personal pace, and specific goals in every subject. You'll always know where they are, what's next, and how far they've come.

3

A feedback loop that never sleeps

Every lesson feeds the next. Flying through a unit? It accelerates. Missing a concept? It's re-taught from a new angle — and a teacher steps in live.

4

Mastery before moving on

Students advance when they've truly got it — not when the calendar says so. That's why 2 hours outperforms 6.

AI builds the plan. Teachers teach the kid. Certified teachers are live on screen all morning. Students go to them first — the technology just makes sure their time together counts.

What they learn

A full core curriculum aligned with the Arizona Academic Standards, taught through top-rated adaptive programs with certified teachers live on screen.

Math

Number sense to pre-algebra, at their exact level

Reading

Comprehension and a love of real books

Language

Writing, grammar, and clear expression

Science

Inquiry-based, with hands-on projects

Social Studies

Civics, history, and the wider world

Unbound Academy students take Arizona's state assessments (AASA and AzSCI) like every public school. Progress is also measured through frequent internal benchmarks in 2 Hour Learning and the national NWEA MAP exam — so growth can be compared at a national scale.

Afternoons: the skills schools don't teach

Two live workshops a day, chosen by student demand and built around real outcomes — a business that earns, a game people play, a story people read.

Built only for grades 4–8 — and every learner in them

Grades 4–5 · The foundation years

Reading confidence, math fluency, and the study habits that make everything after easier. Extra live-teacher reading support, gentle pacing, and off-screen projects. Students behind grade level get lessons that meet them where they are.

Grades 6–8 · The launch years

Advanced academics at their real level, plus workshops that build independence before high school. Students ready to sprint ahead are never held back by a class average — when they master a level, the next one is waiting the same day.

We accept students of all abilities. 1:1 academic coaching is available for students who need extra support.
